Morrel
Watch your step! Whew, you almost walked right into a fairy ring. And not just any ol' fairy ring. This is the enclosure where the fun(gi)-sized cowboy fairy Morrel keeps his dairy cow isopods.
Meet Morrel! Morrel is a cowboy fairy: a fairy who happens to also be a cowboy. Morrel loves mushrooms, and mushrooms seem to love Morrel. Despite being a fairy, he isn't very proficient at magic. His talents lie in cultivating fungi for their many magical uses.
Morrel lives in a little mushroom house on a little mushroom farm in the big Moonstone Mountains. Rocking the cap of an Amanita muscaria, he rides a grasshopper affectionately nicknamed "Hopper" and tends to a rambunctious herd of dairy cow isopods. As a professional fungi farmer, he spends his days caring for the crops of fungi on his fungi farm. He also has a little potion shop where he sells an assortment of potions he brewed and bottled himself using, you guessed it, fungi as the magical ingredient! Oh, and he also runs a milk delivery service (dairy cow isopod milk is delicious, nutritious, and part of a balanced breakfast).
Where will his mushy adventures take him? It's a mushtery...

Mush Around & Fungus Out
Morrel's hat is the cap of a fly agaric. This iconic mushroom is poisonous, providing protection against any beasts who might see a little cowboy fairy as a tasty snack. After taking a bite, the victim may experience a number of symptoms including (but not limited to) nausea, eye-watering, confusion, and hallucinations (and death, though that's rare). This fun guy ain't on the menu, so don't play with shrooms unless you wanna get turnt!
All in a Shroom's Work
Sure mushrooms are pretty versatile, but did you know Morrel's cap happens to be 300-in-1? Besides functioning perfectly as a hat, Morrel has found it has limitless practical uses, working just as nicely as a shield, pillow, umbrella, boat, or even snack if he's hungry.
One of the many pros of having a mushroom cap as a hat is that if it's ever lost, destroyed, or eaten, Morrel can just get a new one from another mushroom.
Sproutastic
Underneath Morrel's cap is a tiny sprout springing upwards from where a cowlick would be. This sprout is extremely sensitive and also reflects Morrel's mood (it droops when he's sad, shoots right up when he's excited, and blooms a cute yellow flower when he's feeling extra mushy). His cap protects this sprout against the elements and anything that might want to touch it. Don't pull or tug on it (he will cry).
